Consultation has concluded

Background

Council is continuing its investment in local sporting facilities, upgrading Dingley Village’s Chadwick Reserve to meet growing demand for junior AFL facilities.

The project has been split into stages with Stage 1 including conversion of the existing soccer field to a junior AFL oval and the installation of sports field training lights well underway. Stage 2 includes the construction of a new pavilion and reserve improvements.

Stage 3 Consultation

As part of the Chadwick Reserve Masterplan, funding has been allocated for a playground renewal and other landscape improvements.

A concept plan has been developed and we would like to know what you think. You can access the concept plan via the Document Library to the right.

Key features of the project include:

  • Upgrade of the existing playground (play for toddlers & older kids)
  • Accessible basket swing OR junior and senior swing
  • Upgrade picnic shelter and table
  • Improvements to existing BMX / pump track
  • Path network to connect playground to oval
  • Reinstate the previously removed basketball half-court
  • Installation of park benches surrounding the oval
  • Upgrade of existing pine fencing on Howard Road
  • Provision for dog-poo bags in dog off-leash area. (West of reserve)
  • New entry signage to the reserve.

Project time-frames
It is anticipated that construction will commence later this year.
